Why should he be the leaks play right into his agenda, “America is evil, it must be brought down.”

He is waiting to see what sticks where.
Interesting interview with a Russian lady last night on one of the NPR(kaff*hak) programs. She basically said that from what she has read so far it affirmed U.S. world leadership more than tarnished the nation.

If Obama is not afraid of Wikileaks, then why does he send out his moron mouthpiece to proclaim his unshakable courage?

I cannot believe Gibbs still has this job.

Gibbs has no idea what is going on: he proves it every day.
But Assange should just mysteriously disappear: there are crocks in Equador, you know…not our fault if Assange doesn’t know where to swim…

In related national security news: The WH is playing shell games with provisions in the New START treaty.

The treaty should NOT pass the Senate.

Obama needs to be more than just not scared of Wikileaks. Obama needs to go to war with them and make them scared of him – make them scared of the United States of America.
If he fails to do so it will just be another confirmation of what many of us have believed for a long time; Obama is a feckless leader who cares more about being the supreme leader than he does about the actual welfare of this nation.

This is a question of punching below the weight of POTUS, and the legitimacy it lends to Julian Assange
yeah, he’s really good at that. Particularly when he restrains himself from mentioning other trenchant individuals such as Jay-Z, Snooki, etal.

LTC Ralph Peters VIDEO: Obama Is “Gutless” For Not Taking Down Wikileaks
“This is an attack on the United States, on our security. We have the cyber capability to take down Wikileaks, could have done it before the first dump of information, could have destroyed their operating systems. President Obama decided not to do it because President Obama is a gutless wonder who cared more about his left-wing free-cyberspace base than he did about protecting the security of the United States… We have the capability to track cyber crime anywhere in the world, to go after it anywhere, take it on, and we’ve done nothing? And I’ll tell you, people are stewing about this because President Obama has overseen the gravest compromise — the greatest willful compromise because he did nothing — of our national security of any president in my lifetime.“
That ball is outa’ here…

Obama was waiting for polling on how people react to the leaks before taking a position.
portlandon on December 1, 2010 at 2:33 PM
Things that make you go hmmmm…
Hillary gets smashed by them… But Obama who didn’t go after Julian after the first batch of leaks doesn’t… makes you wonder who “leaked” them?

Gibbs: Obama not “scared” of Wikileaks
In otherwords, they’re terrified, and in high hopes, that Gibbs performance will be seen as cover, we can believe in. LOL
This isn’t just attacking Bush anymore, as the O’ administration had hoped. It’s putting out there, all of Obuttheads bumbles as well. Play it cagey Obutthead. We already know you’re an idiot, and incompetent. Don’t keep proving it, by speaking up. ;)

Is this really the worst security breach in the history of the US? I’d beg to differ. Aldrich Ames, Robert Hanssen, and John Walker did a lot more damage to American security than Assange could possibly fantasize.
Does the name Rosenberg ring a bell?

Does no one recall the hyper-ventilating over the “plame affair”?
Where are all those very concerned liberals now?
Why is this shrugged off as if it’s last week’s shopping list?

What is Gibbs doing going on Fox? Everybody knows Fox is not a legit news organization.

I agree that Assange hasn’t revealed secrets on the level of Walker or Hanssen. But I do think he needs to be brought to justice.
And Manning needs to be hung for treason. He knowingly gave secret information to someone who intended to use it to harm the United States.

Aldrich Ames, Robert Hanssen, and John Walker did a lot more damage to American security than Assange could possibly fantasize. The damage in these leaks have mainly been to the Obama administration’s ego and to its public image,
Which is a much more severe crime in Dear Liar’s mind.

More than likely, the pond scum who stole this information have liberal/progressive/marxist leanings. Now that they’re working for a liberal admin, they continue to be liberal to the core, even undermining their liberal masters. Liberal progressives are a self-destructive bunch. Unfortunately their damage to America impacts all of us.
President Erkel is in way over his head.

Since Obama does not believe in or understand America. Anything which damages this country is deserved. Obama must be impeached.
